CHENNAI: BJP FUNCTIONARY BOOKED FOR CREATING RUCKUS WITH WOMAN COP

A BJP functionary was booked and lodged in prison after he was involved in an argument with a woman cop during a vehicle check in Valasaravakkam, Chennai. The man, identified as 35-year-old Suresh Khanna, reportedly threatened the cop that she will lose her job. Srilakshmi, the woman cop, informed her colleague Jothimurugan, who was patrolling in the nearby area. Jothimurugan rushed to the spot to probe, where he was reportedly attacked after a confrontation. The BJP man was arrested and booked by police. Meanwhile, reports say that the man is a member of state BJP’s youth wing executive committee and was under the influence of alcohol when the incident happened.
