An ATM van driver has reportedly fled with Rs 28 lakh cash from the van when the officials and the policeman went to fill the ATM in Meenambakkam airport. The officials, Karunakaran and Rajkumar have gone to fill the money at the Canara Bank's ATM machine when the driver, Uthayakumar, told the accompanying policeman that the officials called him. After the policeman went to the ATM, the driver fled with Rs 28 lakhs in the cart. The officials and the guard were shocked when they noticed the van missing. They immediately complained to the Chennai airport police. Police have filed a case and are holding an investigation. Meanwhile, the vehicle was reportedly found near a college in Meenambakkam.
