3 medical shop owners held for selling addictive cough syrup

The Chintadripet police on Friday reportedly nabbed three medical shop owners for reportedly selling a particular brand of cough syrup without doctors' prescription in large numbers. After they got a tip off from a person who is habituated in taking the syrup, police found out that the shop owners are selling the addictives to criminals who want to ‘stay focused’ while committing a crime.
