A complaint has been filed against Deepa, niece of late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, alleging that she cheated a man of Rs 80 lakhs on false promise assuring the man of a minister’s post. Reports say, the man working as an egg trader filed a complaint at the Commissioner’s office in Chennai. He further alleged that Deepa along with her driver had cheated him of a total amount of Rs 1.12 crore over time.
