HOW DID SHE DIE? REASON FOR 'MYSTERY' DEATH OF MEDICAL STUDENT TREATING CORONA PATIENTS IN GOVT HOSPITAL FOUND!
Home > News Shots > Tamil NaduEarlier in the month, on May 1, Pratibha, a 23- year old woman and a student of government Kilpauk medical college Hospital was found lying dead in her hostel room.
“She was a day scholar and was residing in Chennai. Due to the lockdown, she was staying in the college hospital. She was posted in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology department and was not on duty in the COVID-19 ward,” an official from the hospital told The Hindu.
As per media reports, on the day she died, she did not come out of her house and she did not respond to anyone from outside. Her samples were sent to the lab to test for COVID19 and the results turned out to be negative. The cause of her death was seen as a mystery. Health Secretary Dr Beela Rajesh visited the scene and overlooked the investigations.
As per the latest media reports published on Tuesday, the autopsy has been issued to the police. It reveals that she might have died due to cardiac valvular dysfunction (dysfunction of valves in heart). The autopsy report comes two weeks after she was found dead in her hostel. As per the Autopsy, she died due to a blockage of heart valves.
According to Thanti TV’s report, the police have confirmed that she did not die due to forced suicide, suicide or murder. Police clarified that she died due to natural causes.
Medical practitioners who worked on the autopsy denied to reveal details to the media citing that the investigation is on- going. However, they also confirmed that she died of natural causes.
