The Shri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Sholingur located in the Vellore district will have a cable car ride to the mountain top of 750 feet by April 2018. Reportedly the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment (HR&CE) department have invested Rs. 9.5 crore to build the facility for the devotees as they have to climb 1,305 steps to the temple. The cable car will have modern system features like automatic door and will have eight coaches with four parallel tracks. The expected cost of the cable car ride two way would be Rs.2000.
