Trade unions refuse govt’s interim pay hike

Amidst the uncertainty over the operation of the buses ahead of the Pongal festival, the trade unions have reportedly refused to accept the Tamil Nadu government’s 2.44 multiplication factor pay hike. While the government has asked the transport staff to end the strike, they have retorted asking whether the government is ready to hold talks with them or not.
