BOY SLIPS FURTHER INTO BOREWELL AS RESCUE OPERATIONS CONTINUE ON DIWALI - SUJITH STUCK OVER 40 HOURS!

A 2-year-old boy fell into a 600-feet abandoned borewell near Manaparai in Trichy and was stuck at a depth of 35 feet. Rescue operations began but the authorities are suffering setback.

The boy later drifted over to 90 feet; oxygen is being supplied to the boy who had been trapped since 5.30 pm, Friday.

"We could hear the child weeping.. for a long time.. but now we cannot hear. But we feel the child is safe and breathing," the officials said.

NDRF and SDRF joined the rescue and Minister C Vijayabaskar has been camping there since Friday night despite Diwali. Celebrities and people all over the state are praying for the boy.
