Banwarilal Purohit sworn in as Governor of Tamil Nadu

Amid political crisis, Banwarilal Purohit swore in as the Governor of Tamil Nadu on Friday at 9:30 am. Purohit is the ex-Governor of Assam. TN’s Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, Deputy CM O Panneerselvam, Opposition party DMK’s working president MK Stalin were among the top politicians present during the ceremony. Sidelined deputy general secretary of AIADMK TTV Dhinakaran wished the new governor on Twitter.
