Reportedly a cyst was removed from a 4-year-old in Chennai through robotic surgery. The family arrived from Bangladesh at Apollo Children's hospital as they had to perform the surgery immediately. According to media reports, the parents chose robotic surgery over conventional microscopic surgery. The consultant doctor in a press meet on Monday said that the area to be operated upon was magnified ten times and a 3D view was available to the surgeon with the robotic surgery.
