The main office of the Animal Welfare Board of India (under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change) will reportedly be shifted from Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai to the National Institute of Animal Welfare in Haryana. The Animal Welfare Board of India has operated from Chennai since its inception in 1961.
