A complaint has been reportedly filed by a lawyer in Anna Nagar police station in Madurai against Mersal hero Vijay for hurting ‘religious sentiments’ in the movie. The lawyer Muthukumar alleged that the dialogue “We don’t need to build temples, we need to build hospitals” in the movie has hurt Hindu sentiments.
