In the wake of the suicide by S Anitha over her failure to join medical programme, actor Kamal Haasan has on Friday reportedly called her “my daughter”. “Anitha is my daughter, And I’ll raise my voice for her”, the actor reportedly said. Haasan also called everyone to join the struggle against NEET medical test, barring caste, party, religious and State differences. Anitha, the 17-year-old who hanged herself to death at her house on Friday, had filed a case in the Supreme Court against NEET. She was not able to secure a medical seat despite having scored 1,176 out of 1,200 marks in Class XII and had a cut off of 196.75 for medicine.
