Amrutha, who claimed to be the daughter of J Jayalalithaa, filed a petition in the Madras High court, claiming to be the late Chief Minister’s daughter. A heated argument ensued in the Madras High Court. The lawyer who appeared on behalf of the government said that a hearing cannot be made in Marina beach if six crore people claim to be Jayalalithaa's daughter. The lawyer also said that a DNA test will have a huge impact and the privacy of people who died should also be respected. The lawyer who appeared on behalf of Amrutha said that she has to be given a chance to prove her claim and that she has not filed the case for advertisement. The case has been postponed to January 5.
