After paying tributes to Thanthai Periyar’s statue in Chennai, Jayalalithaa’s niece J Deepa on Sunday reportedly said the AIADMK party was then under the control of a family, now under the control of Centre. She also reportedly stated that government in the State is not people’s government; thus it’s a murder of democracy. Further, Deepa added that Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami cannot prove his majority in the State Assembly. She also accused Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam of staging dramas for power.
