AIADMK MP TO RESIGN OVER NON-FORMATION OF CAUVERY MANAGEMENT BOARD

Following the Centre’s failure to constitute the Cauvery Management Board as per the Supreme Court’s order, AIADMK's SR Muthukaruppan on Friday announced he will resign his Rajya Sabha membership. The New Indian Express quoted him as saying, “It is my personal decision. I am resigning as a protest against the Centre's action in not constituting the CMB. The Prime Minister is refusing to speak on the Cauvery issue. I am resigning for the people of the state.”
