PHOTOS VIRAL! JAYALALITHAA'S SAMADHI TURNS MARRIAGE HALL FOR AIADMK LEADER'S SON

As a mark of respect and for special blessings, a leader from Tamil Nadu's All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) organised his son's wedding ceremony at former party chief J Jayalalithaa's memorial on the Marina beach in Chennai on Wednesday. 

The marriage took place between SP Sambasivaraman alias Satish, son of AIADMK leader S Bhavanishankar with R Deepika in a traditional ceremony. The memorial was decorated for the function with colourful flowers and garlands. 

During the ceremony, Satish and Deepika sat before Jayalalithaa's tomb as they took their wedding vows. While the priest chanted hymns and the marriage was complete with the groom tying the mangalsutra around the bride's neck.

As per NDTV reports, a special 'aarti' was also performed as a mark of respect for the departed leader as the satisfaction of the wedding being blessed by the late leader.

Veteran party leaders like A Thamizh Magan Hussain, former State Minister S Gokula Indira presided over the wedding along with other party workers.

The iron lady 'Amma' died on December 5, 2016, and was buried at the Marina Beach along side her mentor MG Ramachandran.
