The Madurai bench of Madras High Court has reportedly passed an order saying that the shops inside the Meenakshi temple premises should be removed before 12 pm tomorrow (Friday). Reports suggest that more than 100 shops are situated in the premises of the temple. The order comes after around 30 shops were gutted in a fire, which broke out five years ago.
