TAMIL NADU GETS READY TO STUB OUT E-CIGARETTES

According to reports, Tamil Nadu government will soon impose a total ban of electronic cigarettes and make it illegal to use, sell, manufacture, import or distribute the battery-powered devices, health minister C Vijaya Baskar reportedly said on Thursday.
It will be implemented soon, the minister told the legislative assembly while moving the demands for grants of health and family welfare department. Doctors and anti-tobacco campaigners welcomed the government’s move, saying such practices introduce people to tobacco early in life.
