A 90-year-old woman Karupayie who was reportedly abandoned by her daughter in a graveyard in Coimbatore before a week has been waiting for her daughter Ramathal even since. The woman’s daughter, who told her mother that she would bring her tea, never came back. According to a report in The New Indian Express, the old woman can only remember her children’s name and does not know where they live. After her husband’s demise, the woman worked as a daily wage worker to take care of her children. A villager, Rukmani residing near the graveyard, has been providing food to Karupayie. Though her son Kanakaraj visits his mother often, he has allegedly not taken steps to take his mother home.
