9 killed as portion of TN transport corporation building collapses

According to reports, 9 Tamil Nadu transport staffers were killed early on Friday when a portion of an old building of the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation’s collapsed near Nagapattinam. Reportedly, the staff members of the TNSTC were sleeping in the building, constructed in 1952, when the collapse happened killing them on the spot. Three others who sustained injuries were rushed to Karaikal General Hospital.
