Following the Dengue breakout, the Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday held discussions with over 1000 doctors at a conference in Chennai. Health officials reportedly said Dengue cases in the State have risen to 8,000, while the death toll has risen up to 18. State health minister C Vijaya Bhaskar participated in the conference and asked the doctors to follow the protocols when treating the fever.
