TAMIL NADU MAN DIES WHILE BATHING IN COURTALLAM FALLS; REASON REVEALED

On August 29 (Thursday), a 74-year-old man from Kumbakonam had gone to Courtallam along with his wife Chandra. Reportedly, he was bathing in the Courtallam main falls, moments later he collapsed and died at the spot.
The incident happened on Thursday morning and the man has been identified as M Ramanlingam hailing from Palakarai in Kumbakonam. As per TOI report, Ramanlingam and Chandra took separate queues allocated for men and women respectively.
While both of them were bathing with other tourists, Ramanlingam suffered breathing difficulties and collapsed on the spot. Other tourists had to carry him away from the falls to find that he was breathless. Some of the tourists tried to save his life by providing first aid but nothing worked.
The news reached Tenkasi police station and the police officers arrived at the spot, inspected Ramanlingam's body and after confirming his death, they sent his body to Tenkasi Government Hospital for autopsy.
