CHENNAI'S SUCCESS STORY: 71 PEOPLE FROM SAME STREET WHO WERE INFECTED WITH CORONA VIRUS RECOVER! - REPORT

As Tamil Nadu's coronavirus count crosses 17,000 mark, the state woke up to a good news where 71 people of the same street in Chennai, who were earlier infected with COVID-19 have now recovered and sent home safe. 

Everyday, on an average of 500 people are infected with this dangerous virus, in Chennai alone. So was it in, VR Pillai Street in Chennai's Ice House area where this single street in the city reported 71 cases, some days ago.

A volunteer from the same area was providing food and essentials to the needy around that society. It was on April 27, when the coronavirus infection for the volunteer was confirmed. Since then the infection had been spreading in that area. 

With immediate action, treatment and strict following of lockdown restrictions, all the 71 people have now recovered and returned home, as per Polimer report. 

Corporation officials said, this is a big success story for entire Chennai and this will continue with people cooperation and efforts.
