50% DISCOUNT ON CHENNAI METRO RAIL TICKETS ON GOVERNMENT HOLIDAYS!

Metro train rides are faster than regular travel but it is also costlier. While the regular suburb train has its base fare at Rs.5, metro's base fare is Rs.20.

Metro train rides will now be given a 50% discount on government holidays. This is done in order to encourage people to use the transport facility.

Starting october 27 till further notice, this discount could be availed on Sundays and all government holidays.

This service is available for all metro tickets except trip pass and unlimited ride pass. For smartcards, CMRL is giving a 10% discount.
