According to reports, as the finalization of the Detailed Project Report of the 17.5 km long Maduravoyal-Chennai Port elevated corridor is less than two months away, State government officials are looking into the eviction of nearly 4,000 families that are currently residing in the stretch earmarked for the project.  Sources say that the evicted families may be resettled in Perumbakkam.
