According to reports, students in Uttar Pradesh rejected 326 technical education colleges under APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, even after five rounds of counselling for admissions to engineering and professional courses. Not a single student chose to study in these colleges. Another 134 colleges have admitted one to nine students. A professor reportedly lamented the “worrisome” trend saying, “This indicates failure of the university as a whole in attracting students.”
