A 30-year-old woman identified as Mohanapriya was found dead at her residence in Avadi. Reportedly, her neighbours informed the police when they saw her body. The woman was found dead with her throat slit, and her gold chain was missing. According to media reports, the police said that the murderer would have taken the chain just to distract them as the person who killed her must be known to her as there was no forced entry into the house.
