In Salem district’s Katayambadi two people reportedly lost their lives as a man attempted to save a snake that crossed a road. A man, who saw a snake crossing a road, tried to stop a lorry with corn. Another lorry carrying iron sheets which was following the corn lorry reportedly stopped with a sudden break, causing iron sheets fall over the corn lorry. The corn lorry’s driver and cleaner were thrusted by the sheets and passed away on the spot. Notably, the snake too died.
