According to reports, two people were killed when a police vehicle hit the bike they were travelling on the East Coast Road (ECR) off Pudukalpakkam near Mamallapuram. The 33-year-old and the 10-year-old were rushed to a hospital where they were declared brought dead, say reports. While reports claimed that the vehicle was part of Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit’s convoy, the Governor’s office has denied it. An elderly woman was also injured and hospitalised, reports added.
