The police officials reportedly issued a show cause notice to at least 100 students in Chennai. According to media reports, the police had asked why can they not take action when the students are triggering and playing a leadership role in the anti-NEET protest held recently. If the students do not appear before the police, they will have to pay a penalty of Rs. 5000 and face imprisonment for six months, say reports.
