A gang reportedly stole 100 litres of milk in BV Colony, Vyasarpadi to perform ‘abhishekam’ for their slain leader C Palani accused of murder and convicted of other crimes. The incident reportedly took place on Sunday morning when 10 bike-borne men threatened vendors using knives and robbed trays full of milk packets. The gang members reportedly used 200 packets of 500ml each milk to bathe hoardings and posters of C Palani put up across Vyasarpadi on his first death anniversary. The vendors and locals agitated by the incident informed the local police and have requested strict action, a TOI report says.
