The Supreme Court on Tuesday reportedly questioned TN government over the state law on Jallikattu. The apex court said “Law and order situation is the primacy in a civilized society. Convey this to your executive to maintain law and order."  Referring to the week-long protests in the state, the SC also questioned TN government as to why were people protesting, since the court had already passed a stay order earlier.  The court also said that we are governed by the rules, and these kind of things should not happen. However, the SC did not strike down the law enacted by the state on Jallikattu.
