The Danda Karanya Special Zonal Committee of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) has reportedly taken responsibility for the Sukma attack on Monday. According to reports, the left wing extremist division also sent a five-minute audio clip on Friday. The organisation has also termed the Sukma attack a retaliation to the state and central government’s Mission 2016. Notably, nine Maoists were killed by the government in operation.
