The Sri Lankan government has reportedly released around 77 Indian fishermen from the prisons of Jaffna and Vavuniya on Friday. According to reports, the fishermen were handed over to Indian embassy officials. Notably, the External Affairs Ministry of the country had earlier announced that it would be releasing 85 fishermen.
