The ICC Women's World Cup is currently being held in New Zealand.
Many matches are going interestingly that it has become impossible to decide who will win until the final match.
In this, the Indian women's team, led by Mithali, has played two matches so far, winning one and losing one. In their next match, India will face West Indies.
Serial failure
Similarly, the Pakistan team, led by Bismah Maroof, has played three matches and lost all three. The ninth match of the tournament took place between Pakistan and South Africa.
Winning South Africa
South Africa, batting first, were 223 for 9 at the end of 50 overs. Following that, Pakistan lost all their wickets in 49.5 overs and scored only 217 runs. Thus, the South African team won by six runs.
Umpire's carelessness
Meanwhile, cricket fans have been commenting on a mistake made during the match. Moreover, this mistake was due to the negligence of the umpire. Pakistan's Omaima Sohail bowled the 27th over of the match while the South Africans were batting.
TRS in the middle
In the last ball of the over, the umpire declared the South African player out in LBW mode. But, the results came as they did not have the South African player out to do the DRS review. Although Omaima continued to bowl six balls, the referee seemed to miss the count of ball as the DRS came into the middle.
Fan comment
Due to this, Omaima threw one more ball, i.e. the 7th ball. With only six balls in an over, cricket fans have been commenting on the bowler who bowled 7 balls, despite not bowling anything like no ball and wide.
The incident has also caused quite a stir.
