A video of Virat Kohli returning to the pavilion after being out of the match against Punjab has been posted on the internet.
Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings clashed in the 60th league match of the IPL series yesterday. Bangalore won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, Punjab scored 209 for 9 in 20 overs. Livingston top-scored with 70, followed by Jonny Bairstow (66).
Following this, Bangalore batted with a target of 210 to win. Captain Du Plessis and Virat Kohli were the opening batsmen. From the first ball, Virat Kohli gave hope to the fours and sixes.
But Virat Kohli was dismissed for 20 in the 3rd over by Rabada. Virat Kohli tried to play a cut shot in the 2nd ball of the over. But the ball was caught by Rahul Chahar. The field umpire did not give out. So the Punjab team asked the third umpire for a review.
At first the ball was not out for the reason that it did not slide in the bat. But when viewed in the Third Umpire Review, the edge of the ball battle was revealed. Thus Virat Kohli was declared out. Outraged, Virat Kohli raised his hands to the sky and expressed his displeasure to God. The video has now hit the internet and caused a stir among fans.
In the match, Bangalore scored only 155 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. Punjab won by 54 runs.
