"IF I WAS AN INDIAN SELECTOR, I WOULD BE KEEPING A CLOSE EYE ON HIM" - FORMER CRICKETER ON NATARAJAN!
Home > News Shots > SportsFormer England captain Michael Vaughan has praised Tamil Nadu cricketer Natarajan.
Natarajan
Natarajan hails from Salem district and is currently playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL. Hyderabad played against Kolkata Knight Riders in yesterday's match. Natarajan took three wickets.
Action star Venkatesh Iyer was dismissed with 6 runs by Natarajan which caught everyone's attention, and then dismissed Sunil Narine in the same over as well. Thus the match became lively.
3 wickets
Kolkata, who made their debut in yesterday's match, stumbled at the start, but the players' score rose to 175 in the second innings. Eventually Natarajan came back to dismiss the well-set Nitish Rana in the death overs.
Am I the only selector
Former England captain Michael Vaughan who was super-impressed by Natarajan said, "Looking at India, I think they’d be silly not to look at him. He’s a left-arm over; the angle that the left armers bring bowling in the backend of the innings when the pitches just start to grip.. they can protect certain sections of the ground. A number of good T20 teams have one — if not two — left-arm seamers in their attacks. If I was an Indian selector, I would be keeping a close eye on him."
Natarajan has moved up to second place in the list of highest wicket-takers in the current IPL series by taking 3 wickets in yesterday's match.
Natarajan, who was ruled out of the 2021s due to injury, has been scoring wickets since the start of this year's IPL series. Natarajan has taken 11 wickets in the current series.
