IPL 2022: "IF MS DHONI HAS TO SCORE RUNS, IT MEANS THERE IS AN ISSUE" - FORMER CRICKETER'S SENSATIONAL STATEMENT!
Home > News Shots > SportsFormer Indian captain Aakash Chopra has said that if Dhoni has to score runs in CSK, that means something is wrong.
The 7th league match of the IPL series is scheduled to be played today (31.03.2022) at the Mumbai Stadium. The Jadeja-led Chennai Super Kings will take on KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants. CSK lost the first match against Kolkata earlier in the day. Therefore, the Chennai team is expected to show initiative to win the match.
Former Indian cricketer and cricket commentator Aakash Chopra has commented on the CSK team. He said, "Mahendra Singh Dhoni did score runs for Chennai. But if Dhoni has to score runs, it means there is an issue. If you look at the batting order, they have Devon Conway, Robin Uthappa, Ambati Rayudu, Shivam Dube. These players will need to score runs."
“Even Ravindra Jadeja looked out of sorts in the last match. So CSK do have a few issues to deal with. The good news for them is that all-rounder Moeen Ali is now available,” Chopra said.
“We always underrate CSK and then they do wonders. After the disaster of 2020, 2021 was the comeback of all times. But this season hasn’t begun well for them. CSK are already missing Deepak Chahar. The ability to take wickets with the new ball is missing,” he said.
