The 43rd league match of the IPL series is being played today (30.04.2022) at the Mumbai Stadium. The Gujarat Titans, led by Hardik Pandya, will take on the Royal Challengers Bangalore, led by Du Plessis. Bangalore won the toss and elected to bat. Accordingly, Bangalore scored 170 runs for the loss of 6 wickets at the end of 20 overs.

The highest scorers were Virat Kohli (58), Rajat Patidar (52) and Maxwell (33). For Gujarat, Pradeep Sangwan took 2 wickets while Mohammad Shami, Rashid Khan, Lucky Ferguson and Alzarri Joseph took 1 wicket each.

In this situation, the first over of the match was bowled by Gujarat fast bowler Mohammad Shami. He threw the first ball of the over and went straight to the umpire, and asked for a tape. The umpire was confused.

Mohammad Shami told the umpire that he did not know the exact distance of the ‘run-up’ area where he would run and throw the ball. So that makes it difficult to bowl. Following this the tag was immediately brought in and the run-up distance was measured. Thus the match was delayed for a while. This video is currently doing heavy rounds on the Internet.
