The 15th season of the IPL series is going on in full swing in India. So far 20 league matches have ended. The Delhi Capitals team has won 2 out of 4 matches played. So it comes in 6th place in the standings with 4 points.
Delhi opener Prithvi Shaw has been playing well in the current IPL series. He scored 38, 10, 61 and 51 runs. Ricky Ponting, head coach of the Delhi Capitals team and Australian cricket legend, has praised the cricketer in this regard.
“If I look Prithvi play, he has got every bit as much talent as I had if not more, and I want to be able to turn him into a player that plays over a 100 Test matches for India and represents his country as much as possible,” Ponting said.
"If I look back through the teams that I’ve been around, when I took over Mumbai Indians, Rohit was very young, Hardik Pandya hadn’t played, Krunal hadn’t played. there have gone on to play cricket for India and that’s what I want to do here," added Ponting.
Prithvi Shaw, who initially played for the Indian Test team, was later ruled out for some time due to injury. It is noteworthy that he did not get a chance in the Indian team as he was injured in the subsequent matches.
