IPL 2022: WHERE AND WHEN WILL THE PLAY-OFFS TAKE PLACE? BCCI MAKES AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

The 15th edition of the IPL is currently going on in full swing in India.

With more than half of the league matches over so far, the two new teams, Gujarat and Lucknow, dominate the points table.

The Gujarat Titans are top with 16 points and the Lucknow Super Giants are second with 14 points.

Intensity Teams

Following on today (03.05.2022), the Gujarat Titans and the Punjab Kings are clashing. With the exception of the Mumbai Indians, all the teams are battling hard to advance to the play-off round.

With only four to five games left for each team, all teams are focused on accumulating series wins and advancing to the next round. Thus, it is expected that the fans will definitely have a great deal of excitement during the next matches.

Also, due to the Corona outbreak, IPL matches are being held only at venues around Mumbai and Pune. The venues for the play-offs and finals have not been announced, with only 70 league venues announced.

Where does the playoff take place?

Meanwhile, the BCCI has released a statement on the play-off matches and where the final will be played. The first qualifier will be played on May 24 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

The eliminator will be played on May 25 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata and on May 27 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Qualifier 2, Ahmedabad. Following this, it has been announced that the final will be held at the same Narendra Modi ground on May 29.

The play-offs and finals will be played at the Ahmedabad and Kolkata venues, with no league matches.

The 8th Behindwoods Gold Medals Awards will be held this year on May 15 and 22 at the Island Grounds in Chennai from 6pm to 11.30pm. Ticket booking for this is currently underway.
