The International Cricket Council has reportedly suspended a Zimbabwean official from all cricket activities for 20 years for attempting to fix an international test match. The official who is facing suspension is Rajan Nayer, treasurer and marketing director of the Harare Metropolitan Cricket Association.
Rajan Nayer was flagged by Zimbabwe captain Graeme Cremer that the former tried to bribe the latter with USD 30,000 to influence the result of test series against West Indies last year.
"I was appalled to be approached by someone so closely connected to the game and there was no doubt in my mind that I had to report it as soon as I could," said Cremer.
