Yuvraj Singh has announced his retirement and social media is filled with messages of all sorts. Cricketers, fans and friends are tweeting and posting on Yuvraj wishing him on his retirement and talking about his game.
A hashtag #YuviDeservesProperFarewell is trending on social media. Yuvi was the electric player the team needed back then in the 00s. He was a rolemodel and heartstealer of the age. His pre-cancer career was remarkable and some of his records remain unbeaten till date.
Yuvraj has posted an emotional video on Twitter announcing his retirement. The player bid farewell to his 'Number 12' jersey on Twitter. The video soon became viral and is making rounds in social media. Fans are asking BCCI to retire his jersey number along with him.
With Yuvraj's retirement, the 2003 world cup squad that played under Ganguly are all gone. Most of them have retired and the rest have not featured in any international game in a long time.
