It was previously announced that Indian cricketer Wriddhiman Saha was suffering from a thumb injury due to which he could not participate in the ongoing series against England. However, what was believed to be an innocent injury has actually turned out to be a career-threatening problem for Saha.
Reportedly, the rehabilitation programme Saha was sent to was a goof up. A senior BCCI official reportedly said, "Wriddhiman’s rehabilitation has been a complete goof up. The NCA physio has bungled it big time. Now only a surgery can put him back on track. Once he is done with surgery, he will not touch the bat for at least two months and then rehab will start."
Saha will undergo a shoulder surgery in the UK next month. He will reportedly miss the upcoming Australian tour later this year.
