England football captain Wayne Rooney announced his retirement from international football on Wednesday. The 31-year-old, who had a 14-year spell with the national team played 119 matches for England. Rooney is also the all-time leading goal-scorer with 53 goals for his country. In a statement released by Rooney, he confirmed he no longer wants to be considered for international duty.
