Cricket rivalries excite most of us. All of us love to see a head-to-head battle between our favourite players. Be it Sachin Tendulkar vs Brett Lee, Yuvraj Singh vs Andrew Flintoff, a head-to-head battle just increases the excitement of the game.
Former cricketers Virender Sehwag and Shahid Afridi have now revealed the toughest opponents they have faced. Despite their bravado, the two also had their share of weaknesses. In an interview with The Quint, both Sehwag and Afridi revealed the names of those they dreaded to face.
"If there is one bowler I was scared of it was Shoaib Akhtar. You didn't know which ball he would hit on your shoe and which one on your head. And he has hit many bouncers on my head. I was scared of him but had fun hitting balls from him too," said Sehwag.
Afridi, on the other hand, said that he wasn't afraid of facing anyone in particular. But he admitted that he always found it difficult to bowl to Sehwag. As such, I wasn't scared of anyone but the one player it was difficult to bowl to was Sehwag," Afridi said.
Both the crickets also spoke at length about their favourite moments in their respective careers.
