VIDEO: SURYAKUMAR YADAV LEAVES VIRAT KOHLI 'RED-FACED' AFTER RCB’S SKIPPER TRIES TO SLEDGE HIM DURING MATCH; TWITTER ROARS!
Home > News Shots > SportsEver since the India squad for the tour of Australia has been announced, reports of Suryakumar Yadav being unfairly snubbed for a spot in the team has been making headlines.
So far in the IPL 2020, the Mumbai Indians (MI) batsman has had a great season not forgetting a match-winning 79-run knock against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Thursday.
During the fight where MI virtually sealed a spot in the playoffs of the competition; fans also witnessed a subtle yet intense sledging attempt by RCB skipper Virat Kohli - who tried to unnerve Surya amid the game.
As soon as the incident went viral, social media was flooded with videos of the moment where Kohli and Surya were involved in an epic stare-off.
The moment took place in the 13th over of the MI innings when Suryakumar had guided a delivery from Dale Steyn to the covers, which went straight into Kohli's hands.
As soon as Kohli collected the ball, the two stared into each other's eyes after which Bengaluru captain walked up to the Mumbai batsman without deviating from his line of vision. Seconds later, Kohli decided to stand next to Surya but the latter moved ahead and prevented the incident from flaring up further.
After names of the India's tour to Australia has been announced, there's no denying that Surykumar would've been hurt despite all the praises on his potential.
Meanwhile, even Kieron Pollard spoke about the disappointment that Suryakumar must have felt after the squads for the Australia tour were announced.
“Imagine someone batting at that strike rate after two early wickets. Deep down inside he must be very very disappointed to not have donned the blue for India. He just keeps getting better. Again as an individual if you keep staying consistent, you will be rewarded. Nothing happens before its time,” Pollard said.
Talking about yesterday's match, it was Surya's heroics performance that has secured MI's playoff qualification hopes.

When Kohli is not able to get SKY out he sledged at him.
Kohli is a much much bigger cricketer than SKY but Zero class. https://t.co/ducHnwovIC

Have said before and will say it again, Kohli might be the best batsman of this generation but he's not a good leader.
As a leader he's nowhere near Dhoni and Ganguly.
He always goes overboard with his aggression and eventually ends up looking stupid.#viratkholi #sky #RCBvsMI pic.twitter.com/HOdnQyXcsg
