Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Team India 'Hitman' Rohit Sharma are widely known as the two greatest cricket players of the current generation. They both have been an inspiration for millions across the globe.
In a recent interview, former cricketer Gautam Gambhir shared his views on who among Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma is the better limited-overs player.
Gambhir, who pointed out the ability of strike rotation in Kohli said, “Even Rohit Sharma does not have that quality which Virat Kohli has, to rotate the strike. Rohit Sharma has the ability to hit the big shots but that is why Virat Kohli is more consistent than Rohit Sharma. Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers also do not have the ability to rotate strike off each delivery against spin bowling. Virat Kohli has that, which is why he is so successful."
Gambhir was present on the Star Sports show ‘Cricket Connected’ alongside Irfan Pathan, when he shared his opinion.
Even, Irfan Pathan lauded Kohli's ability to rotate the strike. He said, it is difficult for a bowler to plan against Virat Kohli as he keeps taking a single and goes to the non-striker’s end.
