India skipper Virat Kohli surpassed the West Indies legend Brian Lara in the all-time career-high ICC Player Rankings for Test Batsmen following his fine performance in the third Test against South Africa. Kohli is now on 912 points and has moved from the 31st position to 26th on the all-time list. Kohli surpassed Lara (911), Kevin Pietersen (909), Hashim Amla (907), Shivnarine Chanderpaul (901) and Michael Clarke (900). Australian batsman Steve Smith, who is the current number-one ranked, is second in the all-time list at 947 points. Don Bradman leads the table with 961 points.
